Who? What? Why?

“Church” comes from a Greek word meaning “an assembly”, so for us, “Church” isn’t a religion or building … it’s an assembly of people who love the Crescent City. My Brothers and Sisters, you and I are the “Church of New Orleans”!

The Church of New Orleans site was established in 2018 by L. D’Ableaux, a Los Angeles native who first came under NOLA’s spell in the mid-1990’s. The amazing city and culture that is New Orleans developed organically over time and from it has sprung some of the most unique contributions to the fabric of America and the world. This is something to be appreciated, supported and protected … these are the goals of the Church of New Orleans.

So, L. D’Ableaux continuously seeks out all things New Orleans in his home town of Los Angeles, or wherever he is, and shares his findings, thoughts, love, with all Church of New Orleans members!
